My Story
One of my biggest dreams was becoming a mother. After seven years of fertility challenges, two losses, and a pregnancy with hyperemesis gravidarum, I was thrilled when my daughter arrived more than a dozen years ago.
But my first years of motherhood changed me in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Despite the joy my daughter brought me and the peace of my lifelong faith, unexpected life circumstances, a challenging postpartum experience, and the lack of support many American mothers face led me to lose hope.
By the grace of God, I was drawn back to my childhood love of creative writing, which became a source of healing and encouragement. Today, I’m sharing this writing, hoping it lifts you, too.
We don't always understand how the chapters of our lives will fit together, but I’ve come to believe that I’m meant to share words of peace, courage, and faith with others, especially mothers. Because when we walk in purpose, we wake in peace.
