Welcome to Courageously & Faithfully–a blog that explores the writing life and the inner journey that shapes who we want to become.

My ultimate destination is to feel at peace at the end of my days. That peace journey has taken me down a winding road of courage and faith and led me to a major detour–changing my life’s course to pursue my writing passion.

What do courage and faith have to do with writing? Well, it turns out a whole heck of a lot. A writer’s life, or any life we desire, doesn’t unfold without resistance. Fear and doubt do their best to keep us stuck, while courage and faith help us begin and keep going.

If anyone knows this, it’s me–your resident scaredy cat and nervous nelly. I’ve been writing songs, poems, and reflections since I was a kid, but, until recently, not even my close friends or family knew it. I wouldn’t be here sharing these words with you if life hadn’t pushed me into the fast lane.

So while we’ll talk about the writing life, we’ll also explore the inner work that can lead us to our destination, whether that includes writing or not.

I like to think of courage and faith as the fuel powering us forward. So let’s gas up and buckle up–we’re going for a ride together.
